Birthday Boy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!!

Yep, it's my little cutie's birthday today!! We're officially only a year apart now. Haha

I sent him this jacket

But I got the WRONG. SIZE. Ruined everything. I have a couple other tricks up my sleeve but since the shipping has gotten all messed up, he didn't get the other things yet so I can't post about those. ANYway.

I hope he knows how special I think he is. He treats me like a queen and is always so reassuring. He is SUCH a great cook and knows just what I need to hear. He is the best snuggler and always lets me put my icicle feet under him. He makes me laugh and has even made me cry by how honest and sweet he really can be. He is not afraid to talk to me about the future or about how he feels about certain things. He's so very honest and I love when he laughs and giggles. He is the best person I have ever known and is my best friend in the whole wide world. I love him more and more everyday and I hope his birthday was just as great as he is. I love you sweetie! I wish I was there to spoil you with little surprises! We'll make up for it later. ;)

The night he officially stole my heart and roped me into a relationship.

One Day Older And Wiser Too!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE birthdays.

Not so much my own, but I love to go a little overboard when it comes to celebrating others. So I wasn't really expecting anything super great for my birthday since a) everyone I would usually celebrate with is up in Idaho and b) the others are all getting ready for the BIG DAY for Rae. So I really was planning to just work (which is fine because I LOVE everyone I work with and it's fun to spend the time with them anyway) and then go home, hang out with my fam, do a little skyping, and get some sleep.

Well.

Erin had other plans in mind and came into work and brought me a cookie and a bracelet and a few hugs and kisses from my most favorite little boys in the whole world. It was so great and thoughtful and made my entire day! I had soooort of forgotten that it was my birthday by then. Then! Tipping my manager off, just like she planned, Taylor and Danielle (sweetest girls ever) set birthday plans up for after work and I got SUPER excited.

You see, the last few birthdays I've had have been kind of a bust. Sickness, TOM came to visit, games, other plans conflicting...it just hasn't really worked out to be SUPER amazing birthdays. Good! But not the greatest ever. Haha So I was so touched that they wanted to hang out with me on my birthday instead of just going home and relaxing! They took me out to BJ's for a birthday dinner and it was so great just getting to know them better! We even shared a bunch of pizookies (can you believe Danielle had NEVER tried one of BJ's pizookies until then!? I know. So tragic) and I had so much fun laughing and talking with them. They honest made my birthday so great. So thank you to my WONDERFUL older sister for her mischievous plan. I just love her.

And when I got home from work, I had all these cute little presents waiting for me, including my little baby Rachel! So I hit quite the jack pot this year.

Thank you so so so much to everyone who made it so special. My family, friends, and facebookers. I could not be more blessed and I honestly have the GREATEST people in my life. I can't even believe how lucky I am.

Never Grow Up

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Ok, first of all, I think I blog too much. It's pretty sad when something cool or fun or intense happens to me, and I think Oh man, I should blog about that! It's pathetic really. Oh well. I know of at LEAST 4 people that read this. Haha But. I think I am going to do another blog challenge in March and actually try to keep to it because that's the only thing that will keep me sane while I patiently (yeah right) wait for delicious spring** to come!!!!! So. Bare with me. Haha

**Actually, spring semester usually involves allergy attacks, sunburns, and sweating throughout the night for me. But honestly...I can't wait!

Also, I needed a new post because I am sick of looking at that Preamble movie now. So. I might as well talk about something fun. Like Mason's birthday!! Oh my gosh, I am such a jerk. I never blogged about it!! When I asked Mason to take a picture with me, right before it flashed, I said "Show me how old you are now!" And this is how it turned out. Haha And earlier in the day, I was asking him about turning four and how sad I was that he was getting so big, and he says "Ashwee, (I am going to be so so sad when his little accent goes away) four is not big yet. Five is big...Carter's big, but I'm still a little boy. Don't be sad!" Haha

Poor little guy was so sick the whole beginning of the day and ended up sleeping after church all the way until dinner time. But it was nice because Mike, Mason, and I all took a little nap while Erin, Rachel, and Carter all went and checked out his cake. And I wrapped the presents, and we all set up for the party. But it was so sad that he was not feeling well at all.

Anyway, for the actual birthday part, Erin and Mike threw him a cute little mini-party on Sunday (since it was Sunday, they were having cake and ice cream and then Erin took him and his friends to McDonald's for lunch on Tuesday and they went back and played games. So cute) and it was awesome!!!! What adorable parents. :)

Erin's friend, Michelle, made his cake and it was AWESOME!!! It was a Ben 10 Omnitrex and it looked legit. And tasted that way too! Rachel told me she told Michelle she was going to make Rae's wedding cake. I'm stealing her as well. Haha There were party masks, action figures, toys, and it was just plain cute. They just had some of his and their friends come over and they played games and we sang and had cake and ice cream! It was sooo cute and sooo fun to watch my little nephew turn 4. Good grief he's getting big!! And he's such a goofball. :) I hope this year goes by veeeeery slow. And don't even get me started on May when Carter turns 6. Not one person will be excited he's growing up so fast. Kill me now.

Happy Birthday little baby!

HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY
to the best dad in the whole wide world
I know, I know. Everyone says that about their fathers. But seriously though. I have such an amazing dad. He doesn't obviously look very happy in this picture (don't let him fool you though) but it's the most recent one I have of just the two of us. He's been SUCH a blessing to have in my life and I would never want anyone else to be my "pa." I cannot believe he is 50 years old! He's still such a little kid! He's hilarious. I think it's so funny that he is so calm & cool in front of other people, but getting to be his family, we get to see his crazy side. Wrestling with his girls (yes, including mom), pretending to take us down like a cop, poking fun by making little jokes, his dancing, making everyone crack up when we get him to break into a smile or a laugh...He's just so awesome. He's very old school and I've always admired that about him. He was raised to work hard and be just a good person & he's installed that same thing into us kids. I love that he still watches White Christmas and It's A Wonderful Life around the holidays instead of jumping right to Home Alone or Elf or something. I think it's so cool that he & I can listen to the same music and have the same love for ol Frank Sinatra. In fact, on trips, he even lets me control the radio!! Not many parents give their kids that kind of freedom! And he is such a great listener. As I've grown older, I've learned not just to appreciate the fact that he works his butt off for me all day long, but that after a long day, he would still be willing to sit and listen to me talk & talk. And he's not the kind that interrupts all the time-he just sits and listens until I take a breather and then offers a tiny piece of his thoughts. I definitely appreciate the fact that he takes time to see both sides. If I ever have an arguement with my mom, he'll take me aside and ask me to explain my side. It's definitely helped. He has also always been a spiritual rock in my life (although he may not know it) and has always gotten his family up & ready for church-exactly what I want my future husband to be like. It's nice to know that he actually cares and wants all of us to turn out right. My dad worries & cares enough to wait up for us aaall night on the couch if he has to. If I call him from school, the first thing he always asks is "Do you need anything? Do you have groceries? How are your grades?" Haha But I love that he loves to just be with his family. We don't even have to be doing anything, maybe just watching a movie together in the bonus room. But we always have such a fun time and we always miss dad when he's not around. He's the hardest worker I know. Seriously. If he's not actually at work, he's here helping my mom by doing things around the house. I obviously won't write everything here, because one, he probably will only read it when someone shows it to him, and two-there is no way I could write it all here. But he is just the greatest guy I know and I love how our relationship has turned out. My dad is my hero and a best friend, a great grandpa (yes, he's a spoiler to Erin's kids) and just a stud muffin. I'm so so beyond blessed to have him in my life and I hope I've been able to give him even a little something back. That little guy means the world to me. Haha
I love you very very much Fajah!!!! Have the best birthday ever!!......"Man, that's so random."

So today is my VERY best friend, Sibonet Elizabeth's, birthday!!!!! She is officially married so it's not longer up to Alex and I to make sure her birthday ROCKS (Good luck Cam!)!! So instead, it's tradition to give a birthday post. But. I am going to list 22 of my most favorite things about Sibonet-it'll be hard to cut them down from my list of thousands, but I'm going to try. Here we go!
1. Sibonet is freakin hilarious. Even through text message. I am never left dry-eyed with her.
2. Sib ALWAYS lends a listening ear, and not only that, but she works you through your problem and gives GREAT advice. She's definitely going into the right profession.
3. I LOVE that we have the exact same things in common: music, food (except she likes olives. Right?! Barf.), movies, pet peeves, colors, clothes-my favorite is our love for all things Disney.
4. Sib always laughs at my jokes, whether it's one of my good ones, or bad.
5. She has all these little catch phrases and you can't help but want to copy her.
6. Sib doesn't try to embarrass you. In fact, she's 99% of the time on my side (except when I am just being ridiculous. Which is okay)
7. I love that she is always up for an adventure! Bear Lake, Disneyland, the beach, food, almost getting arrested, duck feeding, exercising, anything.
8. Only through her was I able to go to my first AA meeting. Haha (Inside joke)
9. SUCH an amazing roommate. And even when she couldn't move into the same room as Alex and I, she still came over for sleepovers in there. SO great.
10. Speaking of, our sleepovers were always the best. :)
11. Sib is so great at keeping secrets.
12. She taught me how to make fish, I taught her how to make enchiladas. Great teamwork, right?
13. Sibster, Sibonnie, Sib-oh-net, Sib, Steven A-love that she lets us give her endless nicknames.
14. Facebook stalker.
15. Sib always keeps me up to date on all things celebrity, or social. I honestly would be lost without her.
16. The radio game.
17. She introduced me to the world of Applebees.
18. We literally could talk for hours and never get bored of each other. Never.
19. Sib is the BEST keep-in-toucher I know!!!! And everyone loves her for it. :)
20. The quote wall. The inside jokes are endless. "Scarves." Haha "You spin my head right round, right round!"
21. We talk on facebook or on messenger from the other room. Just one more reason I look up to Sib and she's the standard of cool.
22. I really can't say enough. Can't believe it's already number 22! Dang it! But. To sum it up, Sib is the best acquaintance, teacher, sister, wife, student, relative, daughter, comedian, fashionista, therapist, roommate, and BEST FRIEND I know.
I love you to pieces Sib! I don't think I have to remind you how much I creep on you because of it! :) I'll text you another happy birthday from the bathroom later, but thanks for always being there for me, by my side through thick and thin, laughing along with me!! You're my best friend! (And I win on blog today, so HA!) Haha Loves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Memory Lane

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Alright. Day 02 of blogging challenge: A really good memory.

Easy. 19th Birthday. It was the best day ever. Alex (bestest friend in the whole wide universe), Spencer, Ryan, and I first started out the day with breakfast at Spencer's house-which I loooove. They made breakfast for me (including the traditional orange rolls that I get on my birthday every year!) with eggs and bacon and the whole enchilada! (Well, not enchiladas thank goodness) and then we all drove down to Hollywood and listened to all our favorite songs (thanks to the cd Al made), especially Manchester Orchestra since we were going down there for their concert! we walked around the whole day and just ate, hung out, and Ryan and Spencer actually snuck backstage to the concert because they said they were roadies for Manchester and the security people believed them!! So they got to meet Say Anything and hang out back there while Alex and I walked around and went shopping. The concert was amazing too. They played all my favorite songs, Andy was smokin hot, and after, I got a picture of Robert and Freeman from the back!!

We even left a little early (we didn't really care about Say Anything) and were walking back and saw their VAN parked like blocks over!!! So Spencer and Ryan left a note. We're always going to wonder what happened to it. Haha But yeah. Cheesecake Factory, train, music, dancing, lights...It replays in my mind all the time. It was a perfect day. Best friends in a great place. :)

If you don't know Manchester, here is the reason I love them.

Buon Compleanno!!!!

So I have been super bad about my lovely roommates' birthdays!!!! Ok. Here is post for each of them. I love you guys! You are the greatest roommates a girl could ask for! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love birthdays by the way. I'm going to be a crazy mom that goes ALL out for birthdays. I want people to wake up and want to cry they are so excited. Anyway.

Kim's birthday was today (November 30) so we'll start with her!! She turned the big 22 today! Fun fact about 22: There are 22 stars in the Paramount Films logo! It fits because she's a star!!....I'm so cheesy sometimes. Haha Oh well.

First, top 10 reasons no one's grim around Kim.
1. Kim is always willing to help, no matter what!2. She always is SO positive!
3. She knows just what to say when you're talking to her.
4. Red hair. Nuff said.
5. Kim is so smart-the kids that get her as a teacher should
consider themselves VERY lucky!
6. Kim has the
biggest heart.
7. There is never a dull moment when this girl's around!
8. She has such a strong testimony. The Italians betta watch out!
9. She makes me laugh ALL the time (this picture? So great)
10. Kim is always up for anything and is so adventurous!-inspiring. :)

Ok, now for Camille! Her birthday was Thursday, November 18th, and it just happened to be the same day she got her mission call! Yes, you can call that divine design. Haha But she turned 21 (obviously) and fun fact: there are 21 dots on a standard dice! Isn't that nice!?

Top 10 reasons Camille is the real deal!
1. Camille always laughs at my [hilarious] jokes.
2. And her laugh is contagious, so it cracks ME up too!
3. Camille takes care of EVERYONE. No seriously.
4. Camille wears her heart on her sleeve-something most aren't
brave enough to do. You go girl.
5. We always come up with the greatest inside jokes.
6. She is a GREAT roommate in every way!
7. Camille is always ready and willing to talk anything out-
even if it does take hours and creeps into the next day. :)
8. Camille keeps you calm. I haven't seen her REALLY stress out.
9. She loooooves her family and friends. I mean really loves them.
10. Camille is always thinking of others. It's my fave.

Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE BABES! I'm so so so glad I've got to know you two this semester and that we can be so close. I love you both!

Ben Harper while writing papers

First things first. YAY for midterms being done!!! The bad part is that now my credits will drop from 17 to like 13 or something. Oh freak. I may have to try to get into another class. We'll see. And I finished another video for I-News! Want to take a gander?

Big plans for the weekend (yes, I am already looking forward to the weekend. I need a break!):
-Justin's birthday!!! WHOOOO!!!
-Straw maze* (and I get a package for I-News out of it!)
-A whole lot of catching up on sleep

And something else I want to try is making a french macaron!! (I hear they are so mcuh better than normal gross macaroons you eat at Passover?) I'm dying! Look how delicious these look! I know, right?!

*Also, is anyone else getting sooooooo excited for Halloween!?! I know I am!! I have found the most fun things to do, including what I want to make for breakfast and dinner!! I know. I'm a freak, but seriously, Halloween is SO much fun! This one blog has a million things you can make-I'm doin em. You can take a look here if you want! There's some super fun stuff!

Well. That's all for now....I can never do homework in the library too long without something distracting me. It's a curse.
